| (i)Medical Treatment (Short Stay) Visa (Subclass 675) |

The Medical Treatment (Short Stay) Visa is designed especially for people who want to come to Australia for medical treatment. This visa allows people to stay in Australia for up to three months. This visa is for people if they are either:
- travelling to Australia to donate an organ
- planning any medical treatment or consultations in Australia except surrogate motherhood
- accompanying or providing support to the person needing treatment.
There is no application charge if the visa application is made outside Australia. However, there is a non-refundable visa application charge if applying for this visa while in Australia.

| (ii) Medical Treatment (Long Stay) Visa (Subclass 685) |

This visa allows people to visit Australia for a period of between 3 and 12 months and study for up to three months. This visa is for people if they are either:
- travelling to Australia to donate an organ
- planning any medical treatment or consultations in Australia except surrogate motherhood
- accompanying or providing support to the person needing treatment.
- aged 50 or over, and have been refused a permanent visa on health grounds
When lodging the visa application, there is a non-refundable visa application charge.
