As part of the Migration Services industry, Migration Executive Australia (MEA) is aware of the concern within the community about privacy risks and the supply of sensitive information. We have always prided ourselves on playing a pro-active role in the development of quality, best practice privacy policies for both our client base and for individuals who provide us with personal. Collection
As part of our migration process, we will gather information on your background, including personal information that you include on your application, such as your name, mailing address, telephone number, e-mail address, career history, details of any competency tests or other information relating to your career. Where practical we collect your personal information directly from you. We may collect personal information about you when you deal with us by telephone, letter, e-mail, or visit our website. In some circumstances, we may also collect sensitive information about you such as information about your membership of a professional or trade association or trade union; your educational qualifications; security clearance or any criminal record(s) or charges you may have had filed against you. When we need to collect this type of information, we will obtain your consent/authority. There may be occasions when we obtain personal information about you from a third party; for example, contacting your previous employer(s) or schools. When we need to collect this type of information, we will obtain your consent prior to this. Please be aware, if you do not provide MEA with the information we require, your visa process will obviously be delayed.

Use and Disclosure
We will only use your personal information for the primary purpose of the migration process.. We will take reasonable steps to prohibit these parties from using your personal information except for the purposes for which it was supplied. In instances where MEA engages a third party company to assist with your visa application, we will ensure that their Privacy Policy commitments compliment ours.

Data Quality
MEA will take all reasonable steps to ensure that any information we collect from you for employment purposes is relevant. Where it is made known to MEA that any information we hold about you is inaccurate, with your assistance, we will correct the information or request an updated information.

Data Security
In developing our Privacy Policy, MEA has taken steps to ensure that the information you provide to us, both in hard or soft copy, is protected from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

Openness
MEA will be open with you about what kinds of personal information we hold about you and what we do with it. Anonymity
Should MEA be required to send your personal employment application information overseas; we would seek your permission prior to proceeding and take additional measures to ensure that your details would be given the same protection to that within Australia.

Sensitive Information
MEA will limit the collection of highly sensitive information about you. MEA will not collect sensitive information unless you have consented to its collection; the information is required by governing law.

Breach or Complaint
In the event that there is a breach of the Privacy Act, MEA would work closely with the Privacy Commission to understand any concerns and ensure that compliance issues are addressed as a matter of urgency. Changes to the MEA Privacy Policy: Our privacy policy may change from time to time particularly as new industry codes are introduced.
